Devillock
These Graves
LP $15 (Tone Filth)
"It’s all in stop motion. It’s all real. Up, out from under all places molded and GUNKED. Slithering spool tapes sliding like thin brown snakes under, amongst, and finally overtop and around. They overtake the crumbling corpsed-up organ grinder. He, with his grin full of rot and fingers of stank, is ever so pleased to allow the decayed magnetics to engulf his skeletal frame, it is how his power is attained (maintained). Only when wrapped tightly and over his entire torso and head (a tape mummy!) will he begin to play. Quietly at first, as if from a distance - but he is there, RIGHT THERE GODDAMIT - and then the groan and the moaning howl and the static insects all begin to draw near, an orchestra of loneliness. Can you still feel your legs? As your head is slowly filled with ants, you are posed a question: “What do you make?” he is asking. “What do make... of THESE GRAVES?”

Naked on the Vague
The Blood Pressure
CD $10 (Dual Plover)
Following from last years self-titled single (which is almost sold out), Naked On The Vague’s debut album, ‘The Blood Pressure Sessions’, dives deep into a world of apocalyptic pop and psychedelic weirdness... Lucy and Matthew’s disparate vocals grip onto stabbing keys and menacing hook-laden basslines, pushed on by an unrelenting drum machine far past the end of its warranty period. Essentially this is a ‘punk’ assault packaged into nine distinct tracks that range from some almost dance-able short and sharp ‘hits’ to gloomy extended freak-outs. Taking direction from where the short lived no-wave movement ended Naked On The Vague expand on what that imploded scene could have garnished had it not succumbed to its own fatalistic shortcomings.

Nautical Almanac / Vertonen
Split LP
LP $10 (SNSE)
The tag-team matchup for which you've been yearning is now ready. nautical's side carefully documents an army of cats in ice skates crashing through a recycling center. How carefully those felines climb the mountainous pile of aluminum cans before fate sends them slipping down, down, down into glassware and truck springs. Vertonen's side sputters, lurches, and drones until reaching an inevitable hallelujah to 60s female vocalists; the pleasure is akin to that reached when an incandescent strobe light is aimed at your eyes while you are restrained on a decrepit merry-go-round. Co-released by C.I.P. and SNSE in an edition of 501 with hand-screened covers (read: no two alike), this will be a lovely addition to your vinyl collection.

Realicide “The Audience Sucks” and “Army Beta Test” (C.H. cover), featuring merciless speedcore gabber by Vankmen and industrial rock programming by Mavis Concave, with voice and further editing by Robert Inhuman. Capital Hemorrhage “Man Of Steel” (Realicide cover w/ words by Jim Swill) and “Familiar Death”, a bleak and disjointed mix of hardcore and no-wave noiserock by the duo also known for Ultra//Vires, Hentai Lacerator, Often, and their DIY label Outfall Channel. Mastered Weasel Walter. Cover art by Ryan Faris of C.H. and inner sleeve artwork by Ben S. of Saint Louis’ Freezerburn Zine. This record clearly exemplifies 2 sorts of progressive hardcore associated with Realicide Youth Records, and will also serve as the precursor to the upcoming Realicide “Resisting The Viral Self” LP on this label, among other more concentrated releases by bands and artists that do not necessarily share an identical aesthetic, but more importantly find common ground in their ideologies and general methods of seeking dialogue with the world surrounding them... 500 copies

Sissy Spacek
French Record
CD Digipack $11 (Dual Plover)
yep sissy spacek - dual plover a match made in heaven . Here is the speil "Since 1999, Sissy Spacek has been one of the most difficult groups around, with a starting point of full-on blur/grindcore and an evolution to the definition of the most extreme/intense fringes of musique concrete, instantly identifiable by the handywork of John Wiese. On this, their fifth proper album, Sissy Spacek explore new territory, as always, and take turns no one could foresee into electro-acoustic improv, collage, industrial, noise and heavy metal, with a line up that includes Kevin Drumm, Kate Hall (Mika Miko), Sam Ott (The Fucking Angels), Corydon Ronnau, John Wiese, and C. Spencer Yeh (Burning Star Core). French Record is their strongest and most mature yet." We already have advance orders for this disc so again don't hold out because they will all be gone.

STROM.ec
Dogs of Total Order
LP $20 (Freak Animal)
Already legendary long sold out debute CD of Strom.ec now fully re-mastered, sometimes with even significant changes. I dare to say Strom.ec is one of the names who was able to create classic of modern power electronics already with its debute release. Varied tracks with genious constructions, sometimes aggressive and violent electronics, sometimes crushing well assembled industrial rhythms, without falling into dancefloor category. Strong vocals and well used samples in most of tracks. LP version comes with 16 page A4 booklet with lyrics and new artwork ! Essential !

Strotter Inst.
Live Act at Oblo
Digipack CD $10 (Tilt)
Strotter is the work of one man, Swiss turntablist / sound artist Christoph Hess, who takes old turntables, augments them with various wires and elastic bands, pieces of metal and all sorts of found objects, and then creates gorgeously Spartan symphonies of rhythm and texture using just the turntable and the stylus, no records at all. No music.

Sutcliffe Jugend
Pigdaddy
CD $14 (Cold Spring)
The Sutcliffe Jugend filthy dirt-mess of an album that is Pigdaddy is now available on Cold Spring. Six stories of mind-fucking depravity. Pigdaddy contains some of the most fucked up, histrionic and downright bizarre vocals ever recorded. The music is created using the most basic sound sources. The overwhelming sense of moral decay makes this Sutcliffe Jugend's most original album yet. Pigdaddy is Beyond Perverse. Sexual transgression never sounded so dirty. Hear Pigdaddy and you will never feel clean again. Cover painting by Kevin Tomkins.

Sutcliffe Jugend
This is the Truth
CD $10 (Hospital)
The first sutcliffe jugend studio album in eight years. "This is the Truth" quite possibly stands as one of the most original and perfectly balanced noise compositions of the last 10 years. It references and uses classic Sutcliffe Jugend of old while bringing in an entirely unique and fresh element one does not hear in noise. This album is a brilliant blend of foreboding tension, and anxiety while using the most lively, disturbing, and textural elements of noise. All of which are brought together with the phenomenal detail and balance of an accomplished electronic composer. Songs that you think will explode leave you hanging with tension, while others erupt with violence out of nowhere. it's an absolutely brilliant album that was worth the wait.

Amazing new wave, synth pop band from New Jersey with songs about cat hate, cops, the holland tunnel and chemical warfare! I can't recommend this album enough. XX Committee
Network
CD Digipack $13 (Impulsy Stetoskopu)
XX Committee (pronounce as Twenty Committee) was Chris Scarpino on synth and guitar and Scott Foust on guitar, bass and rhythms. "The LP suffered a bit from a sort of dead mix when we went from our 4 track to reel-to-reel in the studio (courtesy of an engineer who would later have a couple singer/songwriter releases on a big independent label). That may some day be rectified. Chris and I used to let the rhythm tracks run for hours through an Earth cabinet in my parent's basement (pity them), refining the sound. I think the constant desire for more austerity was a huge burden on both of us. Chris became more and more disillusioned with music as time went on. He is now an engineer at MIT"

Zaimph
Sexual Infinity
CD $10 (Hospital)
Marcia Bassett of double leopards, hototogisu, ghq, fame on her first proper solo full length has given us one of our favorites in the history of hospital productions. sexual infinty stands refreshingly organized into six escalating pieces of her signature guitar, voice, and electronic moodscapes entrancing the listener with sinister seduction. Comparisons to early 80's power electronics and industrial acts as uncommunity, mauthausen orchestra and ramleh reside in the underbelly of zaimph's ability to generate ominous, gritty, and doom laden atmosphere cloaked in a thick lush drone. What begins with raw ethereal guitar shadows of longing delight closes with vital gripping electronic tension.
